Shot Blasting
Shot blasting is a process in which steel shot is propelled at high velocities toward a concrete, asphalt, or steel surface within a contained unit. This process is used to prepare surfaces for adhesion of epoxy, resin, self-level, and other coating materials.
Diamond Grinding
Diamond Grinding is a process in which grinding machines use metal or resin discs embedded with diamonds to abrasively remove concrete material. Much like sand paper, diamond discs come in various grits ranging from 6 to 3,000; grinding typically refers to lower grit discs while polishing refers to higher grits.
Concrete Repair
Concrete repair is a broad term but generally includes the repair of cracking, spalling, chipping, and broken concrete. Depending on the type of repair, epoxy, concrete mix, spall-crete, and many other products may be used to best restore the aesthetics and/or the functionality of the surface being repaired.
Concrete Exposure
The concrete exposure process refers to the depth of the concrete grind. Concrete Reflections Inc. has extensive experience in consulting with concrete providers to ensure the aggregate used in a new pour will yield the desired design at the finished stage of your new project.
Concrete Finishes
Concrete finishes are different from exposure; exposure deals with the depth of the grind, whereas finishes deals with the sheen of the polish. The concrete finishing process is dependent on the densifier used as well as the grit of the final polish. The higher the quality of the densifier and higher the grit of the diamond discs, the higher the floor sheen.
Dyes & Stains
Concrete dying and staining is a process in which dyes, stains, and acids are applied to a concrete surface prior to sealing the concrete. These products can enhance the natural look of concrete while incorporating the overall design of your space.
Cleaning
The cleaning process for most floors includes harsh chemicals, waxes, and specialized cleaning equipment. Most of the time our floors can simply be cleaned with water, however more difficult spills or stains may require the use of a cleaner. Our cleaning supplies are water based and specifically engineered to keep flooring looking its best while removing difficult stains.
Leed
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (“LEED”) is a standard that is used to measure the environmental and energy performance of buildings. LEED certification provides for third-party verification that a building benefits people, planet, and profitability.

Floor Protection
During the course of construction there will often be machinery and equipment on site that would not normally be placed on the finished flooring. Once the final stages of the polishing process are completed a protective flooring system can be adhered to the concrete until all other trades have completed their work.
